Fitness tracking app launched by Pulse

A new app from Pulse has been designed to act as an enhanced communication tool for operators, while making tracking in-gym and external activity easier for consumers.

The free UK mobile app is iOS and Android compatible and will be available later this year. Among other things, it allows users to track workout duration, calories burned, and their heart rate.

Developed to work seamlessly with Pulse’s smartcentre.com member management system, the app provides further insight into customers’ personal wellness habits. Members can manually input activity outside of the gym to provide a full picture of their fitness progress. All in-gym activity is automatically synced with the app. Non-smartcentre.com users can also use the app.

“Our goal is to be at the forefront of technology and with app usage skyrocketing, we felt it was important to develop something that could be used by consumers and operators alike,” said Michael Rice, director of operations at Pulse.

“The app is in the first phase of development and we will keep working with our customers to improve and update the platform in the coming months with new features such as GPS tracking.”
